*Happenings and News*
Coming up in December 2020:
Uton is participating in Blue Christmas, a holiday concert to be put up virtually at The Tank in NYC, brainchild of Miriam Pultro.
Uton arranged the Bill Withers classic Lean on Me a cappella for the Lone Sailor Awards, a US Navy Memorial event honoring distinguished heroes from their ranks, working with stars and legends such as Aloe Blacc, Graham Nash of CSNY, and Ray Parker, Jr. In addition, he also played piano and bass for the special tribute. It was an absolute honor.
Uton participated in the Women's Theater Festival with Her Hotel, a virtual rock opera fantasy written by Rebecca Lee Lerman, acting, singing, and playing guitar! More virtual work coming up!
Uton participated in Miriam Pultro's Comings and Goings at the Green Room, singing and playing piano.
Celebrated the holiday in style again! Uton had the honor of participating in Soul in Your Stocking at the Joe's Pub with R&B legend Jimmy Guilford AND Jersey City's Mayor's Holiday Ball spearheaded by Steven Fulop at the historic Loews Theater. Happy Holidays!
Written in the trenches of the Civil Rights Movement, Sam Cooke's timeless classic speaks to all eras of struggle. Uton arranged an acappella version of the song for his brother Azudi's 54 Below debut. With Azudi on lead vocals and featuring Uton and Broadway's Erica Dorfler and Lulu Fall. Until change.

Some thoughts from the press:

-Peter Filichia, Star Ledger
"As Tee Tot, [Onyejekwe] steals his songs, flat out. His voice soars throughout the show."
"and while he gets some laughs... Onyejekwe's stunning vocls in Real Life are beautiful and haunting."
Diana Rissetto, BroadwayShowBiz.com
"Uton Onyejekwe's Coalhouse Walker Jr. is charming and sympathetic."
-Ruth Ross, Essex Journal
-Asbury Park Press
"youthful and warm... contrasts his strong willed other roles."
